A research assistant position is available in Dr. Julie Semmelhack’s laboratory in the Division of Life Science and the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering (https://semmelhacklab.com/).

The goals of the lab are to understand the neural circuits for visual behaviors, using functional imaging and quantitative analysis of behavior in zebrafish larvae. The successful applicant will work closely with the PI to perform and support ongoing research in the lab, train junior laboratory personnel, and oversee lab operations including ordering of supplies and equipment and safely compliance.

Applicants should have a master’s or bachelor’s degree in Biology, Neuroscience, Engineering, or a related field, and excellent written and verbal English communication skills. Experience with programming, molecular biology, or animal behavior is desirable but not required.
