An NIH funded position is available for a postdoctoral fellow in the Center for Neurodegenerative and Neuroimmunologic Diseases, Department of Neurology, Rutgers – Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, under the directorship of Professor M. Maral Mouradian.

The project focuses on understanding the molecular pathogenesis of protein misfolding in neurodegenerative diseases and aims in the long term at developing novel therapeutic approaches. The primary disease targets are Parkinson’s disease and other alpha-synucleinopathies.

Candidates must have a PhD and/or MD degree with experience working with genetically modified mice. A background in molecular biology, biochemistry and cell biology are highly desirable. Good verbal and written communication skills in English are required.
