PhD Student Position in 3D Printing of Bioinspired Structure at the City University of Hong Kong

A PhD student position is available in Fall 2018 in the Department of Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering at the City University of Hong Kong with research direction of 3D Printing and Mechanical Design of Bioinspired Structure. Requirements:
•        Fresh graduates holding B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Thermal Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Applied Physics and other related engineering and scientific fields.
•        An overall GPA not less than 75/100 for the top 985 universities, 80/100 for 985 universities, 85/100 for 211 universities and 90/100 for other universities. (不包括政治和体育类课程 )
•        Fulfill the language requirement: a minimum TOEFL score of 550 (paper-based) or 213 (computer-based) or 79 (internet-based) is required; or an overall band score of 6.5 in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS), or College English Test Band 6 score no less than 490.

Additional information:
•        Monthly Stipend: 16200 HKD;
•        The candidate is expected to work on research topics such as: bio-mimetic design, 3D-printing of novel structures, nanocomposites, biomaterials, biomechanics;
•        Priority will be given to the students with hands-on experience in polymeric composites, 3D printing of polymeric structure, experimental mechanics or finite element analysis (FEA).
