中德合作项目招聘博士生(热电材料)
The Laboratory for Chemical Materials Synthesis (www.uni-stuttgart.de/imw/mc/) develops novel materials with desirable functions. Projects involve the preparation, structure and properties characterization of perovskite-type as well as Heusler compounds and nano-structured composites for the potential applications in energy and environmental technologies. The methods used to produce nanostructured materials include soft chemistry and bioinspired techniques.
For our joint Sino-German research project funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG, German Research Foundation) and the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) on the development of thermoelectric half-Heusler materials we seek to recruit a
PhD student in Thermoelectrics
The position is immediately available for a candidate (m/f) with a MSc in Chemistry, Physics or Materials Sciences (or related).
The project is focused on the development of thermoelectric half-Heusler materials, innovative synthesis methods (e.g. levitation melting) and thermoelectric characterization techniques as well as XRD and SEM+EDX analysis.
Partners in the project are from the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Physics of Solids in Dresden, University of Bayreuth, Zhejiang University, and Shanghai University.
The ideal candidate is a motivated scientist with a strong background in chemistry and/or physical sciences. He/she has experience on the synthesis of materials and their thermoelectric characterization.
