The content of this manuscript is interesting and significant for new energy technology. However, some questions should be considered before the manuscript is appropriate for publication.

Reviewer #2: This paper represents a thorough analysis of select catalysts for the reverse water-gas-shuft reaction related to the production of methanol.  This paper is purely theoretical and does not explicitly compare to experimental data.  The proposed mechanisms are throughly discussed and conclusions are reasonable.
