Post-Doctoral Researcher in composite research division in Korea Institute of Material Science

Post-Doctoral position is available in the composites research division in Korea Institute of Material Science (KIMS). Candidates will perform collaborative and integrative projects to prepare and characterize lithium-ion battery and supercapacitor with high mechanical property and energy
storage performance.

Selected candidates will perform 1) design and fabrication of battery/supercapacitor electrode on carbon fibers, 2) design and fabrication of
solid electrolyte and 3) characterization and analysis of electrochemical features of the electrode and electrolyte.

We are looking for self-motivated, hard-working, and independent candidates. We use multi-disciplinary approaches, combining the composite
science, surface treatment, and energy device to address energy storage and strength material.

Education/Experience
Ph.D. degree in energy storage device (i.e. secondary battery and/or supercapacitor) is required. Techniques on fabrication and characterization ofbattery cell are needed. Candidates need extensive experiences of cell fabrication and broad understanding of the battery working principles.
Having experiences in manufacturing composites is ideal, but not essentially required.
