各位，请问virtual special issue（VSI） 是什么？virtual special issue（VSI）好像与我们通常说的special issue（SI）不一样的，两个东西。
我参加了个会议，会务组让投稿到 fusion engineer and design 期刊（SCI收录），投稿类型选“VSI-会议”，请问这个会被SCI收录吗？XIEXIE

A virtual issue is normally a journal issue that is never printed. This is done by journals that are regularly printed but ocassionally have an issue that is not in print. It has the same value for SCI. If you do not care about being printed, then it's the same.
If you submit to an online only journal would the same, because online only journals do not have printed editions.

virtual special issue也是special issue，只是只有电子版，不作印刷。应该也会收录
virtual special issue指只出版电子版的而不出版纸质印刷实物的期刊。是否会被收录，还需咨询一下期刊编辑。
