GRADUATE STUDENT RESEARCH POSITION IN CELL AND MOLECULAR BIOLOGY

Two Ph.D positions are available for highly motivated and team player graduate students. They would be responsible for leading efforts to expand our knowledge in the regulation of cell cycle transitions in early Xenopus embryo development and in understanding cell and circadian cycles cross-talk mechanisms. These projects would especially be of interest to students who want to combine multidisciplinary approaches to tackle problems in the cell biology area. Research will be conducted in a very supportive environment that includes, if required, potential collaborations.

Requirements. The successful applicants will have completed, by Fall 2017/Spring 2018, a B.Sc. in a biological science area (molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, cell biology) and meet the requirements of the Virginia Tech graduate program ( https://graduateschool.vt.edu/ ). Previous laboratory experience (summer or MSc research project) in molecular biology would be an asset.
