A postdoctoral position is available in Hongbo Pang lab, Department of Pharmaceutics, School of Pharmacy, University of Minnesota (Twin-Cities campus). The successful candidate will employ molecular biology, cell biology, mouse models and in vivo imaging to study a novel endocytosis/exocytosis pathway into solid tumors (Pang et al, 2014, Nature Communications; Pang et al, 2015, Science Advances). The candidate will also join in the efforts to discover novel peptide tools to target immune components within solid tumors and other human diseases, elucidate the molecular basis and develop nanotechnologies for disease-specific immune modulation.

The desired applicant should have a PhD degree in biology and biomedical research fields, preferably in the disciplines of molecular biology, cell biology and cancer biology. Individuals with a strong background in either immunology or neuroscience are highly encouraged to apply. Experience in endocytosis/exocytosis, macrophages, primary neuron isolation and culture is a plus. The candidate should also have outstanding interpersonal, organizational, communication and writing skills.
