Postdoctoral Fellowships in Optoelectronic Nanomaterials

The Institute of Functional Nano and Soft Materials of Soochow University (FUNSOM, https://funsom.suda.edu.cn/), Suzhou (China), invites applications for:
2-3 postdoctoral fellowships in a) Synthesis of Solution-Processible Optoelectronic Materials and b) Characterization of Optoelectronic Materials and Devices.
All fellowships are available for immediate appointment and are embedded within the International Laboratory of Molecular Optoelectronics at FUNSOM, led by Professor Henning Sirringhaus, FRS (https://nano.suda.edu.cn/en/show.asp?id=1304). The Laboratory research programme aims to understand the optoelectronic properties of solution-processible semiconductors, with emphasis on organic and hybrid active materials and devices. The fellowships involve close collaboration with Professor Sirringhaus’ group at the University of Cambridge (https://www.phy.cam.ac.uk/directory/sirringhaush).
The postdoctoral fellowships are on a fixed-term duration of 3 years in their first instance, and the holders will receive competitive salaries—up to 300,000 RMB (≈44,000 USD) per year depending on experience.
Requirements
We are looking for highly motivated, bright, and enthusiastic candidates with a strong background in either synthesis of hybrid semiconductors, or physical characterisation of solution-processed optoelectronic materials and devices. The ideal candidate should have a PhD in Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, Engineering, or a related area, and an excellent publication record. Direct experience of either synthesis of hybrid semiconductors or physical characterization of solution-processed semiconductors and devices is required. Further requirements include the ability to work both as part of a team and independently, and excellent communication, organisational and problem solving skills.
