Thank you very much for submitting your manuscript HOLZ.2017.00XX entitled "Effects of Saw XXXXXXXXXXX" and for your confidence in Holzforschung.

The paper is a good technical report describing details of wood sawing focusing also on the role of sawtooth edges of a circular saw during cutting/sawing. The paper is better suited to a journal focusing on sawblade or machine tool production, which is also seen on the journals listed in References. Engineers involved in saw blade production will be certainly more interested in the topic described than a typical reader of Holzforschung interested mainy in wood technology and in cutting-edge wood research (always with wood in focus and not in the tools for its machining) than an engineer in the tool producing industry.

I am declining the manuscript with regret and with the hope that you will consider also in the future Holzforschung.
