While you provide many vignettes describing people who suffer from obsessive and or compulsive symptomotology, and you provide an interesting theoretical perspective on what might be going on in these situations, we feel that the paper does not sufficiently address the wide ranging theorizing that already exists regarding this common problem. Also, we would have liked to see some examples of your efforts to treat this problem, and how your approach to therapy with these patients, and the outcome of these therapies, reelect and/or affirm the theory that you are putting forth. We think this is a paper that you could develop further, and wish you good luck in your efforts to bring these ideas more to light.
