A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available in the School of Life Sciences at Arizona State University (https://sols.asu.edu/). We are looking for a highly motivated, recently graduated PhD in Microbiology, Biochemistry or related area to study gene regulation controlled by bacterial two-component systems as well as bacterial-host interactions. Currently, the focus of the lab is to investigate signal transduction of an oral bacterial pathogen Porphyromonas gingivalis responsible for the expression and function of various virulence genes.

A PhD in Microbiology or a relevant discipline/background and extensive experience in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Cell Biology are required. Qualifications with recombinant DNA and RNA techniques for bacterial genomic analysis are preferred. Good communication skills with a command of the English language are required.
