One Graduate Assistant Position is immediately available in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the University of Akron. We are now looking for one highly motivated PhD student dedicated to the cutting-edge research in heterogeneous catalysis. The lab focuses on study and development of advanced materials useful as heterogeneous catalysts for important energy-related processes, including fuel cell reactions, photocatalytic water splitting, and C1 chemicals conversion. The candidate will be trained based on his/her own research interests and multidisciplinarily in chemical reaction engineering, materials chemistry, and catalytic science.

Located in Akron, Ohio, the University of Akron has a strong PhD program in Chemical Engineering. The candidate will be given full financial supports during the time of graduate study. Basic requirements:
Master or Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science or other related majors;
Strong interests and high motivation in catalysis and reaction engineering research;
Good GPA;
GRE and TOEFL scores;
Priority will be given to candidates familiar with catalysis and/or having demonstrated research experience.
