小弟七月份投稿"Desalination and Water Treatment",第二天状态显示”under review“，至今五个多月了，还是这个状态，请问可以写信咨询下编辑到底是怎么个情况吗？因本人第一次遇到这么久的审稿周期，英文水平有限，大家可否提供个邮件模板，十分感谢！返回小木虫查看更多

这个期刊审稿比较慢，一般要半年左右返回修改意见。编辑效率也一般，建议发邮件询问一下进度。

Dear Prof. ×××,
Sorry for disturbing you. I am not sure if it is the right time to contact you to inquire about the status of my submitted manuscript titled “Paper Title”. (ID: 文章稿号), although the status of “under review” has been lasting for more than five months, since its submission to journal five months ago. I am just wondering that my manuscript has been sent to reviewers or not?
I would greatly appreciate if you could spend some of your time check the status for us. I am very pleased to hear from you on the reviewer’s comments.
