1. Biomechanics of the brain for clinical application. Project title: Numerical modelling of the brain to improve treatment of head injuries in the health care system. 简述:The aim of the project is to develop numerical head models, and more importantly, to develop novel electrical treatment devices for used in clinical neurosurgeries. The work is a multi-disciplinary research involving various methods within Neuroengineering including biomechanics, Finite Element head modelling, neuroimaging, neural implants etc.

2. Understanding the mechanisms of traumatic brain injury in multiscale lengths. 简述:This work will combine molecular dynamics with various methods within Neuroengineering including biomechanics, numerical modeling, neuroimaging techniques. This project is a joint reseach between KTH and Karolinska Institutet. A sucessful project will potentially lead to the development of new drugs to treat traumatic brain injuries.

Head of Division of Neuronic Engineering,为该系的创立人之一。 Prof.
