POSITIONS: Master and PhD positions (RA or TA) are available in "Automotive Powertrain and Emissions Control" research group within the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Tennessee Technological University for Spring 2017/Fall 2017. Highly motivated individuals are sought to work on multidisciplinary research in the areas of dynamic systems and control, engine combustion and emissions, automotive powertrain control, and alternative/renewable fuels, intelligent transportation system. Background in dynamic systems and control or automotive engineering is strongly desired. Master's degree is preferred for PhD applicants, but not necessary.

Based on this ranking, Tennessee Tech is ranked 125 (tie) Top Public School among National Universities. It has been recognized as a doctoral university - moderate research activity by The Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education. There are approximately  1 0,900 students enrolled. The department offers an ABET accredited undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, as well as the masters and  doctor of philosophy degrees. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields, other general admission requirements (TOEFL, GRE. GPA).
