The paper describes a new photoresponsive chiral molecule and its application to designing phototunable bandgaps. The paper is very well written. The results are interesting even though the statement that ¡°This work describes a new approach to control, passively, the reflective wavelength and bandwidth of induced CLC films¡± is quite questionable.
