A full-time postdoctoral position is available to study tissue engineering to promote vascularized bone repair and treat the diseases of neural degeneration. The successful candidate will work on the multiple projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and National Key Program of R&D that are supported from 2016 to 2020.


This position is highly collaborative, working closely with other faculties and staffs in the Department of Biomedical Engineering of Huazhong University of Science & Technology (HUST), and surgeons at Tongji Medical College of HUST. The successful applicant should have a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Biological Science, Chemical Science and Engineering or related field with demonstrated expertise working with stem cells, biomaterials, excellent cell culture skills, and a strong background in molecular biology (specially on phage display technology) and tissue engineering. Qualified applicants should have experience working successfully in a team setting, possess excellent written and oral communication skills, and a good publication record. Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated expertise using various biomedical imaging modalities, small animals, and those who have a strong track record as graduate students of engineering, materials science, and/or biological research as evidenced by their published work.


Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) is located in Wuhan which is the biggest city of Central China. HUST is one of top Universities in China, and the major of Biomedical Engineering (BME) is top 3 in China.
