The Nanyang Technological University’s School of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering (in Singapore) has an exciting opportunity for a Post-Doctoral Associate. This position is intended for collaborative research with our overseas microbiology professors from University of Washington (Seattle) and Imperial College London working on Pseudomonas aeruginoas and MRSA respectively. This position performs complex microbiology laboratory assignments in support of a project related to novel antimicrobial polymers and their mechanism of kill of multi-drug resistance bacteria like MRSA, VRE and drug-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
The minimum qualifications for this position are as follows: Ph.D. or M.D. in Microbiology or a closely related field of study. Related experience is highly desirable.
The suitable candidate shall be offered a highly competitive salary, and an intellectually stimulating environment. The Centre for Antimicrobial Bioengineering has about 30 PHD students and postdoctoral fellows working within, with extensive collaborations with U. Washington (Seattle), Imperial College London, MIT, etc.
