投了一篇SSCI期刊，收到大修的通知，但是编辑回复意见中有一句话看不明白了，上面说“即使是对原稿进行了修改，也有很大的可能性退稿”，求过来人帮忙分析下这是什么情况？是不是修改后也没戏呀？谢谢各位了！
邮件原文如下（加粗的语句表示不能理解）：

The review of Manuscript ID XXX entitled "XXX", submitted to XXX, is complete. Reviewer comments appear below this memo.

Based on the reviews, we cannot publish your paper. However, if you are willing to revise it based on the reviewer comments, we invite your to revise and resubmit the manuscript. If you accept this invitation, then include with your revision a detailed memo that (1) reproduces all reviewer comments, (2) includes a response to each one, and (3) cites locations of changes to the manuscript. If you opt to undertake this revision, please do understand that there is a very significant chance we will reject the revised paper.

Revise your manuscript as a new file. Once it is ready, then upload and submit it along with another file containing your responses to reviewer comments (as noted above).

IMPORTANT: Original submission files are available when you upload your revised manuscript. Please delete any of those files that are unnecessary before completing the resubmission.
