Both the Slaughterville and Teller soils were observed in this study at concentrations of 0.5% and 1% for each A1, C1, and C2. Unaltered samples of each soil
were tested as controls.Soils were prepared by adding a ten percent (by weight) aqueoussurfactant solution to a 2 kilogram sample of dry soil. Surfactant solution was added by evenly spraying the soil with a fine mist in 25 gram increments to obtain concentrations of 0.5% or 1.0% .After adding the surfactant solution, the soil was then saturated with distilled water and allowed to air dry for 48 hours.
