I agree with the proposed analysis of the authors, but my main problem is that I see no tolerancing in the manuscript. I mean, the achieved performance is pretty nice but how sensitive is the main design to the fabrication and design tolerances?
How do the authors plan to fabricate this surface? Are the fabrication tolerances in the design also considered?

我也懂你这个专业了。评审的意见很明白了,你这个自由曲面肯定是只进行了模拟计算吧,比如用ZEMAX,CODE V等。但没实际去做,我明白可能有各种原因。那么能不能给出误差分析,以至于更加可行?
我觉得投OptEng评审人也很可能提出让你去做一个东西出来。毕竟OptEng更偏工程应用

设计也应该符合实际加工能力,否则设计就是空中楼阁。所以你做不出来,最好也给出一个公差范围,比如某个参数如果偏差多杀,对性能有怎样的影响。这样更加令人信服,而且使文章更有指导意义。
