Two GRA positions in biomedical micro devices at Wayne State

Dr. Mark Cheng is seeking two highly motivated PhD students to fill two GRA positions in his laboratory at Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Wayne State University, starting Fall 2016.  Dr. Cheng’s research focus on (1) integration of nanomaterials into neural implants for brain machine interface (BCI) and (2) microfluidic design for organ-on-a-chip.  He has received fundings from NSF CAREER and NIH to support his work. Most of the fabrication and system integration will be conducted at the state-of-art cleanroom facility at the Nanofabrication Core, where he is the director.  Prospective candidates should have a solid academic record, creative thinking and hands on experiments skills in microfabrication, physics or related area.
