Postdoctoral Position in Synthetic Organic Chemistry – State University of New York,
University at Albany
Required:  The  full-time  postdoctoral  positions  are immediately  available  in  the Zhang  group at
State University of New York, University at Albany, Department of Chemistry. The Zhang group is
focused  on  the  novel  methodology  development  application  to  the  synthesis  of  complex  natural
products.  Candidates  should  have  a  Ph.D.  in  Chemistry (or pending  Ph.D.)  and  experience  in
synthetic  methods,  multi-step  synthesis,  or  medicinal  chemistry.  The  open  positions  provide
competitive stipends and ample opportunity for intellectual contribution and can focus on synthetic
chemistry, chemical biology or both depending on the candidates experience and interests, as well as
the current needs of the project. Zhang’s group provides the maximum support to facilitate postdoc’s
research in terms of publication and knowledge gaining.
Duties/Responsibilities:  Research  in  the  Zhang  Research  Group  is highly  team-oriented,  and
therefore  the  candidate  will  be  working  along  side undergraduate, graduate  students  and  other
postdoctoral  fellows. Candidates  must have  the  ability  to  work  as  part  of  a  team  and  possess
excellent written and oral communication skills.
