论文大修时增加了一个作者，论文接收后编辑要我证实作者贡献，如回复？

因为修改论文的需要，在论文大修时增加了一个作者，该作者在论文修改中做了一些工作。论文接收后收到编辑这样的邮件，请问如何处理。
While further checking the accepted version of your manuscript, I found that Dr. XXX was added to the authors' list.

Accordingly, please clarify the scientific contribution of the added author, in addition, please provide me with all of the authors'
confirmations regarding the final authors' list of this manuscript.

首先，提供编辑一个作者贡献说明；其次，让所有作者签字确认同意。不过说实话，这是在花样作死！外国期刊比较抵触大修加作者行为。
