PhD Scholarships in The University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC)

University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC): a branch campus of University of Nottingham UK, one of the first China-Foreign universities in China with approval from the Chinese Ministry of Education. It also receives supports from both Zhejiang Provincial and Ningbo Municipal Education Bureau. All education is conducted in British/international style in English.

PhD Positions in Chemical and Environmental Engineering at UNNC

Study Subject: Chemical and Environmental Engineering

Course Level: PhD (3~4 years program). On graduation, students will be awarded a University of Nottingham UK degree which is fully recognized internationally and domestically by the Chinese Ministry of Education. During the PhD period, the candidates may have the options to choose 2+1 program (2 years in Ningbo and 1 year in UK).

Research Topics: Air pollution and control; water/wastewater treatment; contaminated soil remediation, clean energy development

Eligibility: We are looking for highly qualified and highly motivated PhD candidates with a Master or equivalent degree in related disciplines, more specifically, air pollution and control technologies, contaminated soil remediation, water/wastewater treatment by biological / physical /chemical processes, clean energy development. Excellent bachelor holders from China’s top universities will also be considered. Evidence of relevant personal, professional and educational experience may be taken into consideration.
Scholarships Open for both National and International Students

Scholarships: In general, all tuition and campus accommodation cost will be waived and stipend 3000RMB monthly (if in UK, 700 British Pounds/monthly) will be provided.

PhD Application Requirement:
No PhD admission exams are required. Students whose first language is not English or their entry qualifications were not obtained from an institution where English is used as the medium of study are required to provide satisfactory evidence of their proficiency in English. Requirements for admission to the PhD programme must be at least 6.0 in IELTS or 550 in TOFEL (paper) or 79 in TOFEL (iBT).  More details at:
