电子版邀请函来了，看了我就不淡定了
On behalf of the xxxx Systems Laboratory (MSL) and the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, University of xxxxx, I have pleasure in extending an invitation to you to visit the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering from September 2012 to August 2014, for a period of two years.
Whilst at the University of xxxx, you will research majoring in the area of signal and information processing. As an occupational trainee and PhD candidate, you will be hosted and supervised by Professorxxxxxx during your stay in the University of xxxxx. You will be entitled to use the various facilities available for staff at the University of Melbourne.
There will be no tuition fees applicable to you as a visiting PhD student. Your English language skills meet our requirements.
最后那句学费到底是免没免？我申的是公派读博，他好像理解成了联合培养，因为只给了我2年时间。我不清楚到底什么意思，还说我是visiting PHd Student。不过这个邀请函是助手发给我的，他给我说让我仔细看看是不是需要改什么或者添加什么东西，然后我再给他回信确认下。唉，真是无奈啊
I would assume that you have already visited our web information about research directions and understood that you can cope with the research area of our group in your PhD study. I have initiated an interim invitation letter for you and it is attached. Please carefully check it through to confirm me that the information on this letter is right. Otherwise, please point out any additional information which you wish to be added on it.
If you are happy with this draft, I will produce a formal copy of it and get it signed by xxxxxx. The letter will then be forwarded to you to support your application for CSC scholarships.
In the meantime, I am not sure what you can do and what you wish to do for your study here. We should have a further discussion about this later. To my knowledge, a strong mathematic background, in particular, in algebra and applied mathematics is needed for a PhD student by research in this department.
我还是把回信内容也加在这里吧，我不知道他们是不清楚我要读学位，还是只是给我先发个样式，让我看看符合要求不，然后他们在修改。真实纠结

我不知道啊，因为我申新南威尔士大学的时候外导要我去学校申请学费，但是我联系墨尔本这个导师他没提啊，然后问我是不是要invitation，我当然说要了，然后他就发了这个邀请函，囧。要我仔细看下，确定之后他给我签字的。我觉得他理解错了，可能他就直接拒掉我了
