Post doc positions in ultrafast optical and X-ray spectroscopies of molecular systems in solution
The Laboratory of Ultrafast Spectroscopy at the Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (EPFL) is seeking outstanding postdoc candidates for research projects based on ultrafast optical and X-ray absorption spectroscopic techniques for the study of dynamics of molecular and biomolecular systems in solution.

Our lab is equipped with femtosecond fluorescence up-conversion, photon echo and transient absorption set-ups, covering the ranges from < 300 nm to the IR. Our ultrafast X-ray absorption spectroscopy experiments are carried out at the MicroXas beamline of the Swiss Light Source. For more details see: http://isic2.epfl.ch/page62272-en.html

The successful candidate should have a PhD in experimental physics, physical chemistry, or related disciplines, and should be acquainted with one or more of the following: ultrafast laser spectroscopies, x-ray spectroscopy, ultrafast non-linear optics, biophysics or related fields.

The position is available for 4 years (renewable on a yearly basis). We expect both the capability of independent research as well as teamwork spirit.
