On behalf of Dr. （外导） I am pleased to invite XX（我） (birthdate: XX, XX) from XX to spend from September 1, 2010 – September 30, 2011 in the xx(国外学校) as a Visiting Scholar. The purpose of this visit is to work with （外导）on the （研究方向）.
Although Ms.（我） is from a university in which English is not the primary language of instruction I understand her English is suitable for Visiting Scholars in her group.
It is expected that Ms (我) will come with her own funding. She will not be charged, nor be expected to pay any tuition or student fees. Library and computer network privileges will be provided by the Department of Mathematics, along with shared office space.

Please note that ***** undertakes no responsibility whatsoever for costs associated with subsistence and travel whilst in the ****. I understand that you will be applying for a fellowship from Chinese Scholarship Council to cover these costs. We will also require a bench fee of £1k per annum to cover incidental laboratory expenses.
The research which will be undertaken is based on mutual interest and in no way constitutes a supervised Ph.D. study within the University of ******.

I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to work at Northwestern University as a visiting scholar. As a visiting scholar, you will not be required to pay any sort of tuition or fees to the University unless you decide to take courses. The length of your visit would be approximately 12 months, but the exact dates of your arrival and departure of your visit will be determined when you receive the scholarship for which you are applying. Similarly, although this is an official invitation from me, the invitation takes effect under the condition that you successfully obtain a scholarship from the China Scholarship Council(CSC) which in order to cover your traveling, accommodation and health insurance.
During your stay, your research will focus on ，，，，. I will serve as your advisor. You will be expected to initiate and complete the experimentation, but I will supervise you and will be available for consultation. I hope at least one scientific paper would be published. In my laboratory, the student performing the research and writing the paper will be the first author.
