a nonlinear hybrid optimization algorithm (GA-CG) was proposed, which combines the conjugate gradient method with genetic algorithm, to solve the problem through  optimizing  the objective function.

This paper proposes a nonlinear hybrid optimization algorithm(GA-CG) to this problem by combining the conjugate gradient method and genetic algorithm and through optimization of the objective function.
楼主翻译得本来没有什么问题，只是在个别修辞上或许可以改进。例如“提出”一般用propose。另外个人理解在论文里不是必须，都用现在时。
