文章审回来了，不理解审稿人的意思，求各位帮助！ Referee: 1 Comments to the Author This is an interesting paper. Referee: 2 Comments to the Author Reviewer's report The authors performed the isolation of specific DNA markers in the fish Oplegnathus fasciatus through an AFLP approach. Although the analysis is thorough (done completely; with great attention to detail) and the data are well documented, in my view the data presented in the paper will be hard to meet the standard of the journal. Not that I dislike studies on the isolation of DNA markers-the opposite comes closer to the truth. But the pure isolation of sex specific markers in several model organisms has already appeared in literature and these works already have their impact. Besides, 1) the paper basically describes the results and the discussion in somehow speculative; 2) This species clearly harbors a multiple X1X2Y sex chromosome system, and it seems that the authors don’t want to mention and explore it in order to gather these ideas into a new paper. I don’t see problems in that, but this paper describing such multiple system should come first nevertheless. In my opinion much of the data resulting from this investigation are basically descriptive. Therefore I would like to recommend the authors to communicate their data to other journals. |
