【Discussion】In your eyes ,which is more importent, results or process?

Today, my youger sister participated an jop interview, although she prepared this interview with all her endeavor, the results out of her minds! so she fell very sad ,then I encouraged her and told that process is more importent than the results. Just now I thinking seriously, and founld what i told to her is wrong in some cases. so i wonder your view ,which is more importent, results or process?  |

I think this topic is interesting... You know, my major is physics, so I do really enjoy the process of learning of accepting a new theory or idea. of course, we also expect to get a reasonable result, but if you do not enjoy your process, you can hardly get a satisfied result. Try to be creative and careful, think twice before doing sth. , success will come spontaneously... |

| For your sister, failure is not horrible. Just summon up to try another chance. Maybe she could learn something from it and then the experience will help her find a much better job. |

To tell the truth, though many say process is more important than the result, which I kind of agree, but in real life, if you cannot get a satisfying result, it is hard for you to truly enjoy the process!! For your sister, the result of the interview is important. what she wants to get is the job, not just the "process lesson"...I understand... |

| The results certainly matters a lot. Everyone wants a good result and hope can enjoy the process, too. If you are failed, please think about the successes you have got. Your past success always came after failures. So, take it easy. Maybe you will smile next time. |

| Well, in our daily life, we ofteh hear somebody says that when when we do one thing, the process is important than the result. This is partially right. From the process, we can learn something, for example, the experience, but this opinion has its side-effect. This view point will make some people find some reason, or excuse for his failure. So I think, both the result and the process are important, and the result is more important. |

it all depends .for somebody else ,result is important,they couldn't see the hard time you go through ,so they only focus on the result .but for ourselves ,maybe process is more important ,we experience these ,we can understand it ,during that time ,we know how hard it is ! just in case ,if you fail to do sth ,remember keep up,try it again .maybe you win next time . |

| A very good question actually. When people are asked the question like ‘do you enjoy the process or the result’ , possibly most of them would choose process. Of course, I’d like to say the process too. Since most of us here are doing sort of scientific job, in every experiment and task, we are sure to learn new stuff no matter experiments fail or not. However if the question changes to ‘do you mind the result at all?’ Yes, I do. Experiment failure means I won’t have my data and I can’t produce my research output in short time. That is pain, especially in China. |

when I try very hard for a target,it is the likely good results that motivates me to hold on. when I go through the tough process and succedd finally,I forget all the strugglings and tend to reckon everything I did is worthy.If there comes bad results,I may feel upset.But I think I can learn from the process.The process is gone, the result can not be changed.Enjoy the process and pray for good results.man proposes and god disposes. both process and results are part of our life. |

it depends. if you have another chance to try it,the process is important than the results,if you are no more chance,or there are something you can't bear,the results are the more important one.for example,if you are crrosed in love,you can meet one more suit to you one day,the process is more important,if you have to perform a surgey,it's the opposite. |

Different cases, different answers to the question"which is more important, process or result". In my opinion, since your sister has only one chance , so the result is more important. It's really a pity. But, please persuade your sister to insist on her endeavor. Sometime, fortune is also important. From my own experience, maybe it's a little mysterious .When the fortune comes close to you, I feel that, almost everything can be well done; but, on the opposite, althought I am well-prepared, the final result is always the failure. Therefore, it's normal for all of us to fail, and it's normal to feel sad when we are failed. And in addition, it's difficult to say for your sister, maybe in the near future, she will get another batter job.
