Different cases, different answers to the question"which is more important, process or result". In my opinion, since your sister has only one chance , so the result is more important. It's really a pity.
But, please persuade your sister to insist on her endeavor. Sometime, fortune is also important. From my own experience, maybe it's a little mysterious .When the fortune comes close to you, I feel that, almost everything can be well done; but, on the opposite, althought I am well-prepared, the final result is always the failure.
Therefore, it's normal for all of us to fail, and it's normal to feel sad when we are failed. And in addition, it's difficult to say for your sister, maybe in the near future, she will get another batter job. So, just take it easy, everyting will be fine.
