Considering the problem of plasma sample preparation, the solubilization of proteins instead of their precipitation prior SPE seems to be practically more advantageous [5]. Inorder to revise this procedure, the effect of varying chaotropicity and concentration of salt-type additives has been recently examined [6]. The recovery results revealed that the addition of fairly diluted solutions containing chaotropic ions can be successfully applied for this purpose. It should be emphasized that such enrichment of the plasma sample gave minimal matrix effect in further reverse phase (RP) HPLC analysis. |
