My comments/suggestion for the manuscript are listed below.
1. What are the other products (as listed in Table X) during the catalytic oxidation? For clarity, the author should identify the distribution of products.
2. In the section of X.X, the catalyst XXX demonstrated higher catalytic activity than XXX.To explain this result, the author cited some papers. However, these cited papers are about XXX, and seems no direct connection with the result of this paper. Some direct characterizations such as UV-Vis and XPS should be applied to confirm the proposal.

The paper deals with an interesting topic providing new findings over XX catalyst. However, no deep insight, for example, the relationship between the intrinsic properties with apparent results, has been revealed.

In summary, either the characterization of the carbons or the discussion of the catalysis is superficial, and the paper cannot be accepted in its current state. I encourage the authors to provide full characterization, such as XRD, XPS, and FT-IR and conduct the substrate-expanding tests by before resubmission of the paper.
