小虫初次投稿，下面是审稿人的意见Review comments:

In this manuscript, the authors reported the synthesis of ordered Cu2O coated SiNWAs via depositing Cu nanoparticles on silver-assisted elctroless-etched SiNWAs and subsequently annealing. The as-synthesized products were characterized in detail. Finally, the photocatalytic properties were investigated.

In my opinion, this work is interesting for the readers of JMST. The topic is important in this field. Therefore, I recommend it to be published in JMST after the following minor revisions:

(1) The referee recommends the authors to check their manuscript carefully to avoid some typical mistakes or mistypes, for example, Silicon should be silicon within the abstract; EDS images should be EDS spectra for Figures 2c and 2f etc;

(2) J. Mater. Sci. Technol. 29 (2013) 835-840; Chem. Comm (2007) 4093-4095; J. Mater. Sci. Technol. 29 (2013) 795-800; Prog. Mater. Sci. 56 (2011) 175-287; J. Mater. Sci. Technol. 27 (2011) 289-295 etc are suggested to be referred to and cited in the parts of introduction and discussion;

(3) There are many reports on photocatalytic properties on similar nanostructures or morphologies. It is strongly suggested to compare with them.
