Happiness is considered very important in life. Why is it difficult to define? What factors are important in achieving happiness?
In present-day society, individuals hold the opinion that happiness is crucial in daily life. Meanwhile, what is happiness has triggered much argumentation since there is not clear defination about the topic. The essay will examine it according to several different aspects which I believe, currently, are common viewpoints.

To start with, people have various understanding about happiness due to divergent parenting and cultural background. For instance, citizens living in city area possibly argue that owning a big house is happiness as the housing price is extremely high in big cities such as Beijing and Shanghai, up to forty thousand RMB per square. However, residents in rural area maybe hold the belief that happiness is getting a harvest that rewards their efforts. Another essential reason is that, during different era, people hold different understanding on happiness. For example, in the past, people considered that going to where they wanted by bike instead of walking was happiness while, nowadays, due to increasingly boosting economy and technology, inhabitants are only satisfied with driving cars as vehicles.

In my opinion, I think that insistence is the most crucial respect for acquiring happiness. If everyone could persist on what they are engaging in and never give up, people would constantly perceive life is meaningful and saturated with hopes and happiness. Nonetheless, people who have no ambitions to chase after a set of failures, absolutely, consider life is very boring and doomy.

In conclusion, the difficulty for defining happiness is mainly due to two factors. For one thing, people hold diversity of understandings on happiness. Furthermore, there is not constant opinion about happiness because of social development. Obviously, insistence plays a dominant role in pursuing happiness.
