Crystal Growth & Design小修后被拒，大家帮我分析一下怎么回事?

前一段时间我投了一篇Crystal Growth & Design，第一次修改是大修，我修改后，编辑又让我小修，小修时编辑和审稿人的回信是这样的 The reviews for your manuscript are enclosed with this letter. Please consider the reviewers' comments. They have raised points that require consideration and revision of the manuscript before it is suitable for publication. However, with adequate response and revision, the manuscript should be acceptable for publication in Crystal Growth & Design. We would like to receive your revision as soon as possible, 90 days at the latest. We look forward to seeing your paper in Crystal Growth & Design. Reviewer: 2 Recommendation: Publish after minor revision. Comments: In this revised version, the authors have taken into account most of the reviewers' comment and I find it publishable. My only comment concerns the data listed in Table 2: I do not believe that one can determine them with such an accuracy; uncertainties should be evaluated. 小修我投上去过了25天还是没有消息，我实在等不住了，就给编辑发了一封催稿信，结果两天以后收到编辑的拒稿信，信得内容如下： Thank you for considering Crystal Growth & Design for your manuscript submission. Due to the large number of manuscripts submitted to our journal and the increased demands that are being placed on our reviewers, we must assess closely, and prior to external review by expert specialists, whether a manuscript fits within the scope of the Journal and whether it will have sufficient appeal to a significant segment of our readership. Manuscripts that are not within the scope of the Journal (see http://pubs.acs.org/page/cgdefu/about.html) or do not provide clear evidence for a significant advance that is likely to be of broad interest to the crystal growth or crystal engineering communities, will not be considered further for publication. In my view, your manuscript does not meet these standards and therefore, I regret that we cannot consider it further for publication. Based on my experience with our reviewers, I believe they would reach the same conclusion. I hope that by returning the manuscript to you quickly without review you can pursue other actions for your manuscript in a timely manner. Thank you again for submitting your manuscript to Crystal Growth & Design. 我也经历过CGD催稿悲剧的事情，看了编辑给你的回复，我觉得中间那段编辑有点情绪 1.In my view, your manuscript does not meet these standards and therefore, I regret that we cannot consider it further for publication. 这句是套话，意思是判死刑 2.Based on my experience with our reviewers, I believe they would reach the same conclusion. 这句感觉不是套话，而是编辑想说的，从中可以看出小修编辑是没有送审或者没有来得及送审的（可能是效率问题），他直接就按照自己的想法，代替审稿人给你下了终审意见了。尽管期刊的主编的意思是最主要的，但是在这样一个审稿意见下拒稿，太匪夷所思了一些，而且他的那些“创新性不够”、“意义不大”之类的评语用来评价编辑直接拒掉的文章或者审稿人一致拒掉的文章还是说得过去的。在你这个程度下，编辑这么说，个人觉得是带有一定情绪的非专业的做法。 3.I hope that by returning the manuscript to you quickly without review you can pursue other actions for your manuscript in a timely manner. 这句话比较关键，表达了编辑拒你的真实意图（如果要拒你，前面的话足够了，没有必要废话这么一句，而且这句的意思很突兀），他就是嫌你催稿了，觉得“在没有审核的情况下快点给你下结论可以有助于你及时开展下一步工作”。你觉得这个理由如何？很无奈也很搞笑不是？ 总的来说，前面的虫子都觉得在你这么个审稿意见的情况下，最终悲剧很蹊跷，很多人认为是编辑发错信得原因，就说明这个事情是多么的罕见了。如果不是编辑发错信得话，我觉得很明显的，你的催稿信让编辑不爽了，这可能是编辑自身的问题，也有可能是你催稿信本身的问题。 |
