Given the comments made by the reviewers it is clear that although your findings are interesting they do not represent a sufficient basis for publication in Chemistry - A European Journal at the present time and that further experimental work and clarifications are required. Once you have obtained significant new results that are pertinent to the reviewers' comments, we would be willing to reassess an appropriately supplemented manuscript, which should be resubmitted as a new submission.
