Anaerobic Digestion and Process Control Tuesday, August 6, 2013 Job Type: Graduate. Job Rank: Graduate Student (M.S. or Ph.D.). Job Institution: University of Hawaii at Manoa. Job Description: Bioenergy and Environment Research Group at The University of Hawaii at Manoa has an immediate opening for a graduate student (M.S. or Ph.D.) in the field of anaerobic digestion. The selected student will work on process control of high solids digestion. We prefer a candidate with research background in high solid digestion especially tropical grass and other perennial crops, bioreactor design and operation, and process control. B.S. in engineering or a closely related engineering field is required. The candidate must have superior academic background. The position requires excellent written and oral english skill including ability to prepare refereed journal articles/progress report. Salary is highly competitive and commensurate with experience. The candidate will also receive full tuition waiver along with fund for attending/presenting at national/international conference. The candidate will also have an opportunity to travel to other islands for research. Likely, the candidate may travel to Germany for conducting part of research at Hohenheim University, Stuttgart.
