两个语法问题和一个名词翻译，没想明白，求达人指教。

句子1：However, road construction also has detrimental effects on local environments, with soil erosion often a major issue. 问题1：with soil eriosion often a major issue，with soil erosion 我知道什么意思，就是伴随着土壤侵蚀，但是后面是often a major issue 是不是用法不对，是不是应该改成which is often a major issue，是不是有什么语法用法我忘掉了。 句子2：Generally, when road building is taking place there are for periods construction sites, unpaved road surface, cut areas, fill areas, embankments and construction spoil deposits (excess materials from excavation). 问题1：那个 there are for periods ,for periods放在这里是时间状语吗？ 问题2：construction sites, unpaved road surface, cut areas, fill areas, embankments and construction spoil deposits 这几个名词我大概知道什么意思，可是不知道中文应该怎么说？ |

Generally, when road building is taking place there are for periods construction sites, unpaved road surface, cut areas, fill areas, embankments and construction spoil deposits (excess materials from excavation). 一般来说，当进行道路建设时，会有很长一段时间存在建筑工地、坑坑洼洼的路面、挖掘区域、填补区域、路堤以及施工废弃物（挖掘出来的多余材料）。 for periods 为时间状语，长期。 |

虽然没有EPI了，我还是来说一下吧，我曾经是专门搞这个的，武汉至广州高速铁路德方专家翻译。 句子1：However, road construction also has detrimental effects on local environments, with soil erosion often a major issue. 问题1：with soil eriosion often a major issue，with soil erosion 我知道什么意思，就是伴随着土壤侵蚀，但是后面是often a major issue 是不是用法不对，是不是应该改成which is often a major issue，是不是有什么语法用法我忘掉了。 这个是个很常用的表达方式，with soil erosion often a major issue= with soil erosion often being a major issue，介词后面省略了being，因为介词的语法功能不能够带动完整的句子，不妨理解成一个简单的介词+ing结构。你修改的也是另外一种表达方式。 句子2：Generally, when road building is taking place there are for periods construction sites, unpaved road surface, cut areas, fill areas, embankments and construction spoil deposits (excess materials from excavation). 问题1：那个 there are for periods ,for periods放在这里是时间状语吗？ 问题2：construction sites, unpaved road surface, cut areas, fill areas, embankments and construction spoil deposits 这几个名词我大概知道什么意思，可是不知道中文应该怎么说？ construction sites 施工现场 unpaved road surface 未铺筑路面 cut areas 挖方区域 fill areas 填方区域 embankments 路堤 construction spoil deposits 施工弃土场 for periods你的理解应该是对的。 |
