[交流] Alabama的薄厚值不值得去？

那边的导师给了J1 visa, 36,000/year, full benefits, including free health insurance and retirement benefits，刚组建的研究组，PI发的文章还可以，有自己的idea, 目前只有一个Research Associate，说是仪器设备已经就位，叫我过去薄厚，不知道值不值得去啊？

那个地方的消费水平、气候还有治安状况怎样？小妹土包子一个，没有迈出过国门半步，有知道的同学指点指点，谢谢了

Which one are you going? UAB, UA or AU? The offer and benifits are way more than you can spend. Most cities in Alabama are like countryside in China. But is is really peaceful and local people are very nice except the black guys. As far as I know, in bio or medical related areas, UAB ranked really good. One of their medical ranked No. 4 now.
