化疗对血液中肿瘤细胞杀灭效果较好，但化疗药物稳定性差且渗透性也很弱，加之某些恶性肿瘤对化疗药产生耐药性，所以对某些转移灶及隐匿灶几乎无作用。在机体病变及化疗过程中，机体造血免疫功能遭到严重破坏并出现一系列的副反应，如：脱发、呕吐、厌食、皮疹等。要提高疗效，减轻副作用，就必须尽快提高机体免疫功能，抑制肿瘤细胞耐药性，降低治疗中的感染发生率，并提高对化疗的敏感性从而提高治疗有效率。
