As is well known, polar chemicals affect the organism only by the distribution between water and organic phase. 2、As showed by peter, the specific surface area of alga cells is high correlated with the bioconcentration factor. |

As is well known, polar chemicals affect the (不用加the) organism (用复数) only by the distribution of these chemicals between water and organic phase. 2、As shown by Peter, the specific surface area of alga cells is highly correlated with the bioconcentration of 或者 something's bioconcentration. 不用加factor 我觉得这两句话非常chinglish，但是背景不清楚，不好改。 |

1）给出中文原句，根据要表达的意思才能更好判断； 2）从语法上讲，第一句应改为 The Kow values of these chemicals are shown in Table 1. As is well known, polar chemicals affect the organism only by the distribution between water and organic phase. 第二句应改为 As shown by peter, the specific surface area of alga cells is highly correlated with the bioconcentration factor. |
