有机合成操作过程：

Allgemeine Arbeitsvorschrift ( AAV) zur Synthese der Isoindol-4,7-dione 3, 4 und 6
10 mmol Chinon 2 werden in 100 ml wasserfreiem Toluol gelost und nach dem Zusatz von 20 mmol 1 sowie 50 mmol Paraformaldehyd unter Wasserabscheidung zum Sieden erhitzt (Ruckflul3). Nach der jeweils angegebenen Zeit wird filtriert und das Filtrat (F1) auf wenige ml eingeengt. Die Abtrennung von nieht urngesetztem Chinon erfolgte saulenchromatographisch.
