[求助] 关于编码区、CDS、开放阅读框的纠结已有4人参与

查了网上的相关资料，但是没有解决本人的疑惑，这里向大家求助，谢谢！

1、编码区与CDS是同一个概念吗？因为编码区包含内含子和外显子，但是cds只包含起始密码到终止密码的序列，所以应该不是同一个概念吧？

2、CDS与开放阅读框的区别？查了网上的相关资料，但是仍旧有疑问，为什么CDS可以包括很多个开放阅读框？

Definition:

A reading frame in a sequence of nucleotides in DNA that contains no termination codons and so can potentially translate as a polypeptide chain.

An open reading frame is a portion of a DNA molecule that, when translated into amino acids, contains no stop codons. A long open reading frame is likely part of a gene.

CDS:
The Coding Sequence (CDS) is the actual region of DNA that is translated to form proteins. the CDS refers to those nucleotides(concatenated exons) that can be divided into codons which are actually translated into amino acids by the ribosomal translation machinery.

ORF和CDS的比较：
CDS means only that the sequence is known to be transcribed and, therefore, it is coding for something -- neither gene nor protein has to be known. Any full mRNA sequence (obtained from cDNA sequencing) will have a full coding sequence. ORF is usually predicted based on DNA sequence and not proven to be transcribed.
