Yeah, before I arrive here, I always go to Chinasmack to see how to translate Chinese popular sentences into English, and make sure that the translated results looks not so odd for native speakers. The Wordreference is also awesome, which has many interesting topics that also make native speakers confused, and many native speakers in there is willing to correct your odd expressions. I'd like to read their writings so as to improve our writing, as well as talking. |

Well. Almost all the netizen in this website are Chinese. I recommend that you should go to "ChinaSMACK" or "word reference->English Only". ChinaSMACK is dominated by foreigners who worked in China, while the WordRefence has many native speakers either BEer or AEer. The two websites are worth a visit. Here they are : Chinasmack , which was founded by Fauna, a Shanghai girl, always focuses on translating some interesting popular things into English. http://www.chinasmack.com/ WordReference->English Only focuses on correcting some errors and then giving the opinions from native speakers. http://forum.wordreference.com/forumdisplay.php?f=6 However, I think few will make a friend with you. |

| ifi you're a student, many colleges have some clubs to bridge the gap between chinese students and foreign students or faculties together. you can also go to Facebook to find foreigners in or near your universities. and if you just want to learn english well and find a way to communicate, activities hosted by ToastMaster or several active Douban groups can also help you. |
