This month I organised some writing activities but few people actually participated.
I guess I'm better off putting such activities to an end.

The reason it being so unpopular, in my eyes, is that writing an essay is quite off-putting for many.
Maybe it's better for me to change the form.

Now the idea I've got is to replace the writing activities with paraphrase practices.

What is the paraphrase practice?
Okay, here is an example.
Original sentence:
Genetic drugs cannot bring too much profit to drug producers so the drug producers are not too motivated to produce genetic drugs.

After the sentence being paraphrased:
Narrow profit margins for generic drugs have limited the incentive to produce them.

As you guys can see, the original sentence is quite long, and have too many repeats (drug producers, genetic drugs)
The main thing here is that the original sentence is quite Chinglish (probably some people are even having difficulty writing sentence like this...)

I am thinking about posting typical Chinglish sentences on a regular basis and you guys can feel free to post your paraphrased version down my post.
As long as you have participated, I will give you some BB bonus ranging from One to Five.

I will later post my version of the paraphrased sentence (can be from local news) and @ every single one of you who participated.

Your new activity is more time-saving, and I believe more emuch guys will participate it.  But one or two topics in a week will be enough I think.
