The main part of the sentence is ：".....we may think of......,while the density-independent effects act to...."; 1. "as the signal ecologists are trying to isolate and interpret". The above sentence is a Attributive Clauses attached to "growth parameters". 2. "one that tends to make the population increase from relatively low values or decrease from relatively high ones". The word "one" is an Appositive attached to the words "growth parameters". And "that tends to make the population increase from relatively low values or decrease from relatively high ones" is an apposive attached to the word "one". I cannot type Chinese characters here. So I have to explain the structures of the sentence in English. Hope the explanation above can help solve your problem.  |
